Success begins
with a great foundation.
Since 1990, the Blount County Education Foundation, (BCEF), has succeeded by delivering needed educational tools to students and teachers in county schools. While a separate entity from the school system, the BCEF works closely with teachers, principals and central administration to understand and address the most pressing, unmet needs. The BCEF acts as a bridge between school needs and community resources by seeking both financial support and donated services from generous individuals and corporations.
Mission Statement: Enhancing excellence in education for the children of the Blount County School system.
Vision: Champion the mission of BCS by developing charitable support and nurturing public trust in order to enhance the educational environment.
BCEF Impact
Core to the BCEF is the mini-grant program, funding innovative classroom programs, books, and other requests from BCS teachers.
Grants
We believe funding shouldn't be a barrier for students to achieve their goals. This year, we helped pay for over 100 AP tests in our high schools.

Celebrating & Supporting our
Great Schools
We know success starts with great teachers, staff, & administrators. From Teacher of the Year to advocating for school needs and spreading the word about about their many accomplishments, BCEF is there to support and enhance their efforts.
BCEF is a proud sponsor of One Book Blitz. This community wide literacy initiative gives students in kindergarten through 5th grade an opportunity to read, study, perform, draw, sing, and become totally absorbed in the same great book.
