About Us

Since 1990, the Blount County Education Foundation, (BCEF), has succeeded by delivering needed educational tools to students and teachers in county schools. Core to the BCEF is the mini-grant program, funding innovative classroom programs, books, and other requests from BCS teachers.

While a separate entity from the school system, the BCEF works closely with teachers, principals and central administration to understand and address the most pressing, unmet needs. The BCEF acts as a bridge between school needs and community resources by seeking both financial support and donated services from generous individuals and corporations.

The BCEF:

• Provides grants for educational programs

• Organizes annual Trot for Education in November

• Organizes Blount County employee payroll deduction program
